Valcor’s new bleed air solenoid valves have secured U.S. Government approval through the Source Approval Request (SAR) process, the formal review the Defense Logistics Agency uses to qualify a new or alternate manufacturer for a part currently sourced from a single approved supplier. Earning that approval means demonstrating, with full supporting technical data, that the part meets the same form, fit, function, performance, and quality requirements as the original.
That USG approval matters well beyond U.S. operators, as global customers frequently look to what the U.S. government have already approved and accepted before qualifying a new supplier for their own fleets.
Valcor’s valves are not simply a replacement for the OEM part. They’re a second source of supply, giving operators a qualified, government-directed alternative when they need one.
